My number one goal of our shoot is to capture beautiful, editorial-style photos of you and your pet that tell the story of your unique relationship. Let’s be honest, calling our animals “pets” seems almost unfair because they are so much more than that. They are our best friends, our babies, and our most beloved companions -- which is why these commemorative images that we’ll create together are so important, and will be for generations to come.
How we'll work together.
I want our 1.5 hour photo session to be as fun, comfortable, and productive for you and your pet as possible, so we’ll get to know each other with a phone call and a quick survey before we meet. We’ll also choose a location together that most beautifully captures you and your pet, whether that be in your home, at the beach, or beyond.
The day of the shoot, we'll meet at our chosen location and I'll spend some time getting to know your pet face-to-face before I start shooting. I want the process to feel organic, so I'll be taking pictures as photographic moments present themselves. We can move to several different settings within your location, taking short breaks in between.
About a week after our shoot, I’ll present a carefully curated selection of about 20 photos, one of which we’ll use for your custom framed print that I will personally put together and mail to you. After that, you can decide which additional prints you would like to order and/or any other products, from my product page, you would like to create with your images.

What is the price of a photo session and what does that include?
The price of a photo session starts at $500 and includes:
• Initial Consultation
• 1.5 hour photo session of you and your pet, (one additional pet and one additional human included within this price)
• Editing and online digital proof delivery of around 50 images or more
• 15-20 highly curated and retouched hi-res digital files, (upon final client selection)
• 1 custom framed 5X7 or 8X10 print
• $100 credit towards initial print order and/or merchandise
What should I wear the day of the shoot?
I get asked this question a lot. Coming from a fashion background, here’s my answer: Wear what you feel comfortable in, and also what you’ll feel good about seeing yourself in for years to come in that photo on the wall. Think timeless style, and try not to choose distracting colors or patterns.
Do you travel?
Yes I do! There will be additional fees incurred for travel outside of the bay area that we can discuss in detail when we have our phone consultation.
What if I need to reschedule?
You may reschedule within 72 hours of the shoot free of charge. Within that window, I will need to keep your initial $250 deposit that will apply to a rescheduled shoot for another date. If our shoot needs to be rescheduled due to inclement weather, there will be no charge to you and we will get another date on the calendar asap.
Are there any additional fees?
• I will do light retouching as a part of the session fee. For any extensive retouching like leash/collar removal, or any major adjustments, I will need to charge an additional fee of $50 or more based on the number of images.
• If you wish to add more pets or humans as a part of our shoot, I charge an additional $50 for each.
• Travel outside of the Bay Area will result in additional charges based on your location.

After getting our chocolate Labrador puppy, we just fell in love with her and wanted to capture her adorable young puppy moments. When researching different photography services, I noticed there were lots of services that only captured the dog, but we wanted photos of not only our puppy but also our puppy with the family. There were not a lot of options for pet and people photography and the ones I found were not the style I am looking for (e.g. family members and dog sitting on the floor of a studio with a plain white background). I was drawn to Jen's approach because she aims to capture organic moments between people and pets and you can see it in the images.
